"Johnny" was brought on-board through the Naval deep sea dive program. These subjects prove especially successful due to their training and natural mental inclination toward stress handling and composure to enclosed space. Johnny is the fourth subject in this series, henceforth known as Subject Delta [doc attach://Project "BIG DADDY" Series: Alpha]. Delta will be identifiable by the triangle "delta" symbol on the shoulder of his regulation dive suit.

The procedure for Delta will be altered from his predecessors who did not successfully show the proper quotient of free will to encoding. Subjects must retain free will in order to operate by themselves, retain problem solving abilities, and properly assist the other subjects in their tasks. Encoding is essential for subjects compliance and safety of not only other subjects but staff in this facility. We have had too many casualties and injuries already on failed subjects in the Big Daddy project. Delta proves promising and has passed all mental qualifiers, physical qualifiers, and hypnotic-persuasion.

Former codename: 'Protector Program'; 'Mister Bubbles'
The idea of the hypnotic-persuaded worker came from the brilliant mind Dr. Yi Suchong who originally created them as maintenance workers for the naval deep-sea project codename "Mister Bubbles." The official government channels would not condone the resulting effect of physically grafting man and machine together as it posed many problems not successfully resolved by Dr. Suchong (such as eating and disposal of following waste). Dr. Suchong later devised the dive suits for long term wear without them being grafted onto the divers. The resultant drugs made for extremely durable, strong, and easily manipulated men the government saw potential in for soldiers. "Mister Bubbles" then became "Protector Program" but the resultant soldiers, while brain washed easily, did not have the focus necessary to fulfill complex objectives. It was found by Dr. Suchong and his researchers that programming in a simple command code worked more successfully, as well as focusing the divers on a singular task. The Cape Town facility saw a use for them as bodyguards for the psychically gifted children they were beginning to care for, and thus "Protector Program" became "Big Daddy."

Delta has been successfully integrated into a dive suit. Like the former subjects in this Alpha series he lacks the cognitive free will to care for himself on many levels until in dire need, this includes basic skills of feeding and bathing himself. This is an unfortunate side-effect of the hypnotic-persuasion process. He will eat upon command but it has been found more efficient to feed the Alpha series through supplemental nutrition options such as vitamin/protein drinks. Subject also will exercise himself to exhaustion and eventual collapse if not monitored.

The purpose of this report is to document Delta's encoded command message. This post-hypnotic trigger [codename: Project W-Y-K; Assistant lead: Dr. Sofia Lamb] is necessary in case of subject's coding being overridden or possible full free will returning. Delta's command message will be, as with the former Alpha series, "WOULD YOU KINDLY." Delta has responded appropriately to his trigger and is now fully incorporated into the Big Daddy program. Program Director Arthas Menethil has requested him operational immediately for Cape Town's Project Origin, to be shipped immediately.

Subject Delta has been successfully imprinted on project Origin's Alma [codename "Wade"]. Of the genetically modified soldiers [doc attach://"Stormwind"] offspring Alma has been the only child with any noticeable psionic readings. Through the use of hypnotic and post-hypnotic encoding, Delta has been bonded to Alma. Our research notes find an unexpected bonding of Delta to the other children as well in relation to Project Little Sister, using the unusable failed offspring of the older Stormwind soldiers. Our notes from Big Daddy imply that imprinting exists only between one diver and one child but this appears not to be the case. While Delta's bond with Alma is stronger than with the other children this bears testing and documentation. It is this researcher's opinion that Delta will bond with any child but Alma's psychic ability may enable her to communicate with Delta and form the cohesive imprinting that it has. If that is the case, the particular imprinting promised to us from Project Big Daddy was grossly under represented in their field notes. This side effect has both positives and negatives. With Delta's lack of reasoning ability it may become confused and unpredictable when faced with new children it encounters, rather than focusing its protection on Alma.

Perhaps ironically, Project Stormwind is an off-shoot of the Protector Program that developed into making Delta possible. While grafting man-and-machine proved too problematic, the emerging field of genetic manipulation served as a greater base for the government's purposes of experimenting on soldiers to create the much desired and so-called super soldier. The Protector Program developed key information through its use of drug enhancement that later was used in Project Stormwind that, when combined with specific DNA re-sequencing, enabled the first true super soldier. Arthas Menethil remains the most successful subject to come out of Project Stormwind though it is notable that his mental stability has been remarked upon in those field notes.

It has come to our attention that the diver suits for the Big Daddy program are no longer in production. See the attached document regarding the specifications for maintenance including how to remove the suit, clean it, maintenance it, and replace it upon the subject [doc attach://Big Daddy Suit Specifications]. We are now responsible for our own maintenance of the Big Daddies, as they've become known, as Dr. Suchong's researchers will no longer be maintaining them for us. Please advise lab workers of these maintenance procedures as well as the safety precautions necessary, use of the W-Y-K trigger word may be necessary for cooperation of subjects. It would behoove the lab workers to also maintenance the subjects as far as hygiene and medical attention at the time of bi-weekly suit maintenance.

Additional Notes: Delta's free will continues to be most active amongst the divers. This makes maintenance of him and his suit the easiest and will be a good practice for the newer lab workers.

Addendum 1: //10-JUN-1974// Two lab workers were killed this morning by subject Foxtrot who has since been dismantled. It had been too long since his last maintenance and parts of his body were attached to the interior of the dive suit, causing him undue pain and stress upon removal of the unit. New specifications for maintaining divers has been added to the attached document.

Addendum 2: //21-AUG-1974// Subject India has been dismantled due to similar circumstance as Addendum 1. New specifications for maintaining divers has been added to the attached document. It has been found that divers will defecate in their suits if not properly monitored.

Addendum 3: //02-FEB-1975// Subjects Echo and Golf have been dismantled due to similar circumstance as Addendum 1 and 2. New specifications and training for lab researches has been implemented, see updated attached document.

Original specifications for the vocal cord modulator have been lost. The Rapture facility is no longer accessible to retrieve any backups of said data. Our engineers have been attempting to replicate the modulator with little success, leaving Delta with only the most rudimentary vocalizations. This repair has been given a low grade priority. Any successful repairs will be attached in addendum to this document.

After the dismantling of subject Hotel [doc attach: "Subject Hotel Failure"] our remaining Big Daddy has been imprinted on both of Alma's children, known as Ethan and Paxton with the code names Point Man and Commander. Ethan is unresponsive to the Big Daddies as he is with most of the experimental research being done to him. He follows orders especially after hypnosis but is otherwise unremarkable except in primary tests of endurance and reflex. Paxton shows very little psychic or kinetic ability but has initially bonded with Delta who seems to have imprinted on him without our interference.

Hotel had not imprinted on a child since his initial imprinting of one of the Stormwind children, however like most of the later Alpha series formed a protective bond with any child to some degree. This resulted in a large failure when Hotel interpreted our experimentation yesterday on Paxton. Hotel interpreted the electrical impulses causing Paxton pain as an attack on the child and proceeded to eliminate four of our researchers before we were able to put him down. Hotel has since been dismantled and disposed of.
